The
Thames Valley
- Follow River Thames along its historic route
and visit the quaint riverside town of Henley upon
Thames, world famous for its Royal Regatta with its
traditional buildings, attractive bridge and 13th
century church. Afterwards, a short drive through
the beautiful countryside of The Chiltern Hills to
the Georgian town of Marlow upon Thames home to 5
times Olympic champion Steve Redgrave and the
perfect place for either relaxing by the Thames or

Runnymede
and Windsor
Visit Runnymede, where King John signed the Magna
Carta on June 15th, 1215. We also see the memorial
to John F. Kennedy, which now stands on American
soil. Next stop Windsor Castle - this impressive
royal castle was built, occupied and loved by the
royal family for over 900 years. See the ceremony
of the Changing of the Guard (even days only) and
visit the recently restored State Apartments.
Highlights include the Waterloo Chamber, St.
George's Hall and the Van Dyck room. We will also
see paintings by Rubens, Rembrandt and Caneletto.
St George's Chapel - This splendid chapel, burial
place of Henry VIII, Charles I and George VI is
where the Knights of the Garter are still installed
and stands within the castle precincts. The
Knights' banners still hang over the carved choir
stalls. (5 Hours)

Leeds
Castle
Described by Lord Conway as "the loveliest
Castle in the world", the castle was home to the
medieval queens of England. It is set on two
islands surrounded by a still lake and 400 acres of
glorious gardens. The castle was originally the
site of a manor of a Saxon royal family. It was
first built in stone by the Normans and fortified
by the great castle-builder Edward I. Henry VIII
transformed the fine apartments we see today. The
Castle contains a wonderful collection of
furniture, tapestries and art. (5 hours)
