European Tour Itinerary:
Paris
& the Ile de France/Rural
France
Paris &
the Ile de France: Probably the most beautiful
city in Europe, with its grand boulevards and
vistas, Notre Dame, Montmartre, the Champs
Elysees, the Eiffel Tower, you'll see it all and
much more. Or take a day or two out to visit
Monet's garden at Giverny, Versailles,
Fontainebleau, the magnificent stained glass in
Chartres Cathedral, the Champagne
houses.
RURAL FRANCE:
Retrace the D-Day landings; visit the beaches,
the wonderful museums, feel the warmth of Norman
hospitality; they have not forgotten. Wine
connoisseur? Why not saunter through the
vineyards of Burgundy, the countryside is
beautiful and you can taste along the way.
Discover Peter Mayle's Provence or follow in the
footsteps of the famous on the French Riviera.
If you want to know about our caveman ancestors
then visit the Dordogne in the south-west with
its fabulous pre-historic cave paintings.
Chateaux can nowhere be better represented than
the Loire Valley.
Italy
Italy: See
Ancient and Christian Rome; the Forum, the
Coliseum, the Pantheon, St.Peter's and the
Vatican, the Sistine Chapel. Travel up to
Florence to experience the perfect Renaissance
city with more art than can possibly be taken
in, in one visit. It is in the heart of Tuscany,
with its olive groves, hill villages and
vineyards and the food is to die for! Wind up in
Venice, known as 'La Serenissima'; nothing can
prepare you for that first magical view of the
city as you cruise up the Grand
Canal.
