Antiques. Even today with our strong currency antiques can be purchased in Great Britain and shipped abroad with savings of up to 50% on the retail/auction price in America. Our Antiques Tours can include auctions that are attended by dealers buying items to ship abroad. Most items will be purchased at less than half of the retail price of similar items in America. Many items will be unavailable to buy in America. A range of good-quality accommodation will be provided, depending upon season and availability. All accommodation will be in areas providing a choice of entertainment, restaurants, shops etc. and can be tailored to specific requirements. Example: A recently purchased dining room table, with provenance, cost £800. A similar item (if available) would be likely to sell for $8000 in America. This is not a 'one-off'. Antiques have never been so good a buy as today. The North/South divide in Great Britain can be exploited to your advantage. The North of England and the Scottish Borders have a rich source of antique sales and auctions.
